You've been looking forward to it all year and your exercise regime has been centred around that fabulous new bikini you bought - but when you finally make it to the sun, sea and sand it takes just a few all-you-can-eat buffets and cocktails for it all to go wrong. Here's how to stay in shape while you're on your hols...Clearly you don't want to continue your punishing workouts while on holiday – after all, it's supposed to be relaxing. But who says you can't relax and still keep those fab abs? Before the sunbathing begins in earnest, take just a few moments to crunch those stomach muscles.
Stay holiday hot
Ab fab
Clearly you don't want to continue your punishing workouts while on holiday – after all, it's supposed to be relaxing. But who says you can't relax and still keep those fab abs? Before the sunbathing begins in earnest, take just a few moments to crunch those stomach muscles.
Swim yourself slim
If you're on a beach holiday, the chances are there are loads of fun fitness opportunities about – not least, that tempting swimming pool. Leave the lilo behind and take a leisurely swim each day to stay toned and gorgeous.
Barefoot in the sand
Make the most of your surroundings. Taking a barefoot stroll in the warm sand won't seem like hard work – but it works toning wonders on your legs and bum. Time it right and you can enjoy the sunset each evening whilst burning off some of those cocktail calories.
Toss out the tiramisu
Obviously you don't want to eat celery sticks throughout but there's no need to eat everything in the hotel. Skipping dessert every now and again will keep the cream calories down.
Take advantage
Holiday resorts often have plenty of sporting facilities which don't involve sweating in the gym. Get out on the tennis court in the A.M. and it'll be game, set and match for those holiday wobbly bits.
Exploration exercise
While it's very tempting to spend your holiday walking between beach, pool and hotel, you could be missing out. Exploring the local area can throw up some wonderful surprises. Try a different route each day to keep it interesting and you'll stay trim without even thinking of the gym.
On yer bike
Even better than a stroll around town is a cycle ride. Hire a bike and you'll be able to go further afield, get up some speed and treat yourself to lunch without worrying about the consequences.
Pack a picnic
Okay, so you've booked an all-inclusive stay. But that doesn't mean you HAVE to eat restaurant food every day. Go out for the day with a healthy picnic packed – you'd be surprised how a day out and a light lunch can keep those calories down.
Sea life
The chances are your resort consists of more than the restaurant and the pool. From windsurfing to water-skiing, take advantage of the more active side of the sea – not only will you learn something new, you'll probably discover a whole new set of (now toned) muscles.
Family fitness
On a family holiday there's really no excuse to stay on the sun lounger. Let your kids' boundless energy rub off on you – from Frisbee to beach balls there are plenty of ways to stay active at the beach. And the children will be nicely worn out come bedtime... everyone's a winner.

Did any one watch BBC news night last night. It was about the schools in Oldham and the poor white kids getting treated has 2nd class again. And please believe me it not just there, open your eyes and take a good look about. And I find it strange why the BBC did not have a debate about the 5 min report afterwards like Kirsty normally does about every thing else or is it just me.
